Artist Statement

Working in primarily linocuts and reduction prints, my work encourages viewers to rethink their relationship with and knowledge of the natural world. From commonplace animals like five-lined skinks and sheep to flora and mythological creatures, I take inspiration from the smaller details—a scale pattern, a long-clawed foot, the flow of feathers—to reacquaint myself and others with a sense of childlike fascination with the world.
