Judith Coady
Born in Washington, D.C., Judith Coady spent her early years in the district. She moved to Boston, Massachusetts where her love of art was born and nurtured in the Boston public schools and regular visits to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.
She married a career naval officer and moved frequently, studying at museum art schools, workshops and colleges wherever they lived. After settling in Virginia, she juried into the Torpedo Factory Art Center and joined Printmakers Inc. She has been an artist for 30+ years. Her work is in collections in the United States and internationally, including at the Library of Congress, National Gallery of Art, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Corcoran Museum, Georgetown University, Museum of American History, Federal Reserve, Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University and the Bristol Art Museum, Bristol R.I. She also participated in the Washington Area Printmakers Original Yearly Calendars and other joint projects. |
