Jennifer Dunbar

Jennifer Dunbar was born and raised in Michigan and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Printmaking from Grand Valley State University.
Although educated in multiple printmaking techniques, Jennifer works solely in the reduction technique using woodblocks. Jennifer was first exposed to printmaking in her grandfather's commercial print shop in the basement of his home in Hudsonville, MI. She recalls fondly the smell of ink and the methodical melody of paper pulled through rollers. In addition to teaching printmaking, Jennifer practices and teaches yoga, loves to travel, and is an amateur urban homesteader who enjoys everything from beekeeping to pickling and canning. These hobbies and themes inspire her work in the studio. |
